Basic, Senior, Creative — what the tier actually buys
The tier changes who holds the scissors. It does not change the haircut you asked for.
Most salons in Ahmedabad price by stylist tier without ever explaining what the tiers mean, which leaves people assuming the cheaper option is a worse haircut. That is not what it is.
A Basic-tier cut is the same cut, done by someone earlier in their training. At AMI that person was certified in the academy in the same building, and on a floor supervised by the seniors working next to them. Supervised is not the same as inexperienced.
What you are paying more for at Senior and Creative is speed, and judgement on the harder calls — heavy hair that will not sit, a growing-out fringe, a shape that has to work for both office and a wedding in the same week.
For a straightforward trim, Basic is the honest recommendation and we will tell you so. For a restructure, or colour correction, it is worth the tier.
